Over the past years the artist Leo Schatzl has been concentrating on a process-based, experimental confrontation with spatial and social constellations where he playful explores alternative artistic areas of action, implementing them as interventions into public space. In the project series “floating village,” carried out in conjunction with students from the University of Art and Design Linz and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the focus has been on areas of water as public space as well as the empirical handling of conditions and scopes of a fluid environment. Some of objects and set pieces the artist used in this work series will be arranged on dryer ground suitable for an art mall as a temporary window display installation. EBB contemplates and compensates for the non-existent, the absence of an oarsman and the lack of an essential upwelling element.
