The bathtub is not only an object of utility to get clean, but also serves to relax, recover, procrastinate and daydream. A bath can help against colds, stress or bad moods; and as a space it is an intimate retreat in everyday life, an oasis, that allows us to become productive again and to prepare for our work. Taking a bath as an act of self-care, to escape exhaustion. Lying in the tub, a person reflects on her exhausted state in an inner monologue. In a supposed manifestation of relaxation, the video installation Power & Sleep addresses the effects of high-performance society and the relationship between time, work and productivity.
